Calls Global star “uncompromising and formidable” ahead of film’s Prime Video release
January 24, 2026: Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu showered praise on Priyanka Chopra after watching the trailer of her upcoming action thriller The Bluff. Re-sharing the trailer on social media, Mahesh described his Varanasi co-star as “uncompromising and formidable,” while wishing the entire team success ahead of the film’s February 25 release on Prime Video.
In The Bluff, Priyanka essays the role of Ercell Bodden, a fierce former pirate also known as “Bloody Mary.” Set in the late 1800s, the film showcases her as a wounded yet resilient mother willing to go to extreme lengths to protect her child. Sharing the trailer, Priyanka wrote that the story ends only “with the sand soaked in blood,” hinting at the film’s intense and gritty tone.
Backed by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO Studios and Amazon MGM Studios, The Bluff also stars Temuera Morrison, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green, Zach Morris, David Field and Vedanten Naidoo. Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra are set to share screen space for the first time in SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated film Varanasi, a collaboration Priyanka has earlier described as a “privilege” alongside Mahesh Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran and the ace filmmaker.
