Mahesh Bhatt, Vikram Bhatt, Anand Pandit Join Forces for Horror Thriller ‘Haunted 3D: Ghosts of the Past’

April 16, 2025: The dynamic trio of Anand Pandit, Mahesh Bhatt, and Vikram Bhatt are coming together once again for a thrilling horror experience titled Haunted 3D: Ghosts of the Past. Directed by Vikram Bhatt, this film marks their second major collaboration after the success of 1920, which left a lasting impact in the horror genre.

Vikram Bhatt took to Instagram to announce the reunion of the iconic trio with the release of the film’s motion poster. Haunted 3D: Ghosts of the Past stars Mahaakshay Chakraborty and Chetna Pandey in the lead roles and is slated for a theatrical release on September 26, 2025.

In his post, Vikram Bhatt shared his excitement, stating, “After the incredible response to 1920: Horrors of The Heart, I knew we had to return with something even more haunting… So here we are with Haunted 3D: Ghosts of The Past, bringing you a terrifying story that will stay with you long after the lights come back on.”

Producer Anand Pandit expressed his admiration for Vikram Bhatt’s work, highlighting how the director has been pushing the boundaries of horror cinema in India. “The horror genre is not often explored in Hindi cinema, and Vikram is one of the few makers who is pushing creative boundaries with themes that challenge our understanding of paranormal phenomena,” Pandit said, emphasizing the film’s unique appeal.

Co-presenter Mahesh Bhatt shared his fondness for working with Anand Pandit, noting that their collaborations always offer a refreshing perspective on life and storytelling.

Director Vikram Bhatt is confident that Haunted 3D: Ghosts of the Past will redefine the horror genre. He commented, “Theoretically and technically, this film goes beyond anything we may have done before. It will really expand the definition of a horror thriller in unprecedented ways.”

Haunted 3D: Ghosts of the Past is co-produced by Roopa Pandit, Krishna Bhatt Sarda, Dilip Soni Jaiswal, Rahul V Dubey, and Sanjay Singh. It is produced in association with Rakesh Juneja and Shweta Ambari Bhatt. The film is expected to hit theaters on September 26, 2025, promising to be a spine-chilling ride for horror enthusiasts.
