Malaika Arora Reflects on Breakup with Arjun Kapoor and Father’s Death

October 19, 2024: Malaika Arora has been navigating a challenging phase in her life after reportedly breaking up with Arjun Kapoor earlier this year and losing her father, Anil Mehta, just last month. In a candid interview with GlobalSpa Magazine, she opened up about how she has been finding the strength to cope with these personal hardships.

“You have to dig deep within to find strength,” Malaika shared. “While my family, friends, and work are significant sources of peace and resilience, the people around me also play a crucial role in helping me stay grounded and strong. Their support has an immense influence on my ability to keep it all together.”

Malaika also expressed her gratitude for her close-knit circle of friends, including Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, and her sister Amrita Arora, who have been her pillars of support. “Honestly, I would be nothing without my girlfriends. They look out for me, support me, encourage me, and keep me grounded. They are everything,” she said.

Addressing the constant scrutiny surrounding her relationships and life choices, Malaika acknowledged the emotional toll of public criticism. “There are times when you feel things don’t bother or affect me, but of course they do,” she admitted. “I have also figured out a way to deal with it, get strong about it, and not let it pull me down, govern me, or get the better of me. I’ve learned to block out the noise and negativity and focus on the positive aspects of my life.”

Following the recent passing of her father, Malaika issued a heartfelt statement requesting privacy. “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend.
