Malayalam Actress Honey Rose Files Complaint Against Activist Rahul Easwar For Cybercrime
January 12, 2025: Malayalam actress Honey Rose has accused activist Rahul Easwar of allegedly orchestrating a cybercrime to diminish the seriousness of her sexual harassment complaint and manipulate public opinion against her. She shared a post on her Facebook account, detailing the mental stress that she and her family have been facing, attributing it to Easwar’s actions.
Honey Rose’s complaint, filed at the Central Police Station in Ernakulam, alleges that Easwar has been responsible for the continuous threats and online abuse she has endured, including vulgar comments aimed at her and her profession. In her post, she stated that these actions have led to severe mental anguish, even driving her to contemplate suicide. She accused Rahul Easwar of trying to tarnish her dignity and undermine her career through cyber attacks and public threats.
She further claimed that Easwar had been threatening to harm her and insult her womanhood both directly and on social media platforms. The actress has expressed her intent to take legal action against Easwar due to the extent of his actions.
This comes after Honey Rose filed a sexual harassment complaint against Kerala businessman Boby Chemmanur, which led to his arrest by Wayanad police on Wednesday. A case was registered against Chemmanur under Section 75 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and Section 67 of the IT Act, related to the harassment incident.
Honey Rose’s public post and complaint have drawn significant attention, and the situation continues to unfold with legal actions being taken.
