Bigg Boss 19 contestant Malti Chahar has publicly dismissed rumours about her relationship with singer-composer Amaal Mallik, clarifying that their connection was limited to a single meeting and brief phone interactions.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Malti wrote, “Let’s clear this once and for all. Amaal and I had no relationship or any kind of ‘ship’. He asked for my number, and we met only once. We talked and shared some personal information. After that, we stayed in touch over the phone. That’s it! There was nothing else between us. On the show, when I said ‘bahar ki baat nahi karenge’, I meant that I would not share his personal information.”
Malti also addressed the narrative created during the show, stating, “It was disrespectful of Amaal to create a narrative on the show suggesting that I was trying to impress him and to make derogatory remarks about me, something I saw only after coming out of the BB house. Yes, he mentioned his mental health a few times, both before and during the show. I was empathetic and tried to help in the moment so he wouldn’t have more regrets later. Now, I’m the one regretting it. That’s all. Spare me now. Please don’t associate my name with his. Thanks.”
Malti had entered Bigg Boss 19 as a wildcard contestant and often interacted with Amaal Mallik’s group on the show. During her stint, she revealed that she knew Amaal from outside the house, which sparked fan speculation about a possible romance. Certain moments, such as Malti mentioning a message from Amaal on WhatsApp, further fueled dating rumours.
Bigg Boss 19 concluded on December 7, 2025, with Gaurav Khanna winning the show, defeating Farrhana Bhatt, Pranit More, and Tanya Mittal. Gaurav received a trophy, ₹50 lakh prize money, and a promise from Salman Khan for future collaboration.
