August 27, 2025: Rajesh Keshav, a well-known Malayalam actor and television host who goes by the stage name RK, is in serious trouble after having a heart attack at a live event on Sunday night. The 47-year-old fell on stage at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Kochi and was taken to Lakeshore Hospital right away. He is now on a ventilator.
Prathap Jayalakshmi, a close friend of the actor and filmmaker, verified the news by posting a poignant message on Facebook about the medical emergency and asking for prayers. Jayalakshmi said that Rajesh had an emergency angioplasty after he was taken to the hospital.
“Since then, a ventilator has kept him alive,” Prathap added. “He hasn’t said anything yet, other than some small movements now and then.” Doctors think that the disease might have caused some mild harm to the brain.
The filmmaker’s passionate plea made it clear how strong hope and love can be when people work together. “Now the one who used to light up the stage with his show sits still, depending on machines. “It’s so sad,” he wrote. “But we know he’ll come back if we all think about him and come together.” He has to come back.
