Singer Mangli has issued a public apology after her song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke from the film KD: The Devil sparked widespread controversy over its lyrics and visuals.

“Out of respect for public sentiment… I sincerely apologise… for the unintended mistake,” she said in an Instagram statement.
