Manoj Joshi Addresses Controversy Around ‘Hamare Baarah’ Film

Actor Manoj Joshi, who is set to appear in the upcoming film ‘Hamare Baarah’, addressed the controversy surrounding the movie, emphasizing that it was not intended to target any religion.

Joshi highlighted the film’s focus on themes such as education, upbringing, employment, women’s respect and empowerment, and population, urging viewers to watch it with their families.

The film made headlines after the Bombay High Court imposed a stay on its release until June 14. However, the court lifted the injunction during an evening hearing on Thursday.

The court has instructed the formation of a committee, including at least one Muslim member, to watch the movie and provide their report by 9 am tomorrow. Unless the court alters its decision, the film is permitted to be released, with the first show scheduled for 10.00 am tomorrow.

While the court acknowledged the removal of certain dialogues and the film’s certification process, it emphasized the committee’s focus on the movie’s theme and the claims made in the petition.

This ruling comes as a relief to the film’s makers, who faced uncertainty after the earlier stay imposed just two days before the scheduled release on June 7. Despite legal challenges, the film’s director and producers are grateful for the support received, including safety measures provided by the Maharashtra government during the release week.

The film, exploring the theme of overpopulation, has garnered attention for its bold narrative and thought-provoking themes. Starring Annu Kapoor, Manoj Joshi, and Paritosh Tripathi, ‘Hamare Baarah’ promises to deliver a compelling narrative, shedding light on a pressing social issue.
