Mardaani 3: Rani Mukerji Returns As Fierce Cop, Makers Release First Look On Navratri Day 1
On the first day of Navratri, Yash Raj Films unveiled the first poster for Mardaani 3, confirming Rani Mukerji’s return as her iconic cop character, Shivani Shivaji Roy. The powerful poster, showing only the actor’s hands holding a revolver, hints at an epic battle between good and evil.
September 22, 2025: Yash Raj Films (YRF) has released a strong new poster for the third movie in its blockbuster franchise, Mardaani 3, to celebrate the start of Navratri. The image, which shows virtue winning over evil, announced that Rani Mukerji would be back as the tough and loved officer Shivani Shivaji Roy.
The poster portrays simply Rani’s hands holding a gun tightly, which is a dramatic image. Her face is not visible. The strong images and the religious chant “Aigiri Nandini” on social media suggest that Shivani will have to deal with the hardest case of her career in a dark and nasty scenario. Abhiraj Minawala directed the movie, and Aditya Chopra produced it. It will come out in theaters on February 27, 2026.
Fans were quite excited about the news and flocked to social media to celebrate Rani’s unusual accomplishment with a franchise managed by women. One fan said, “Pahli actress hai Rani Mukherjee jinki Mardaani film series bina hero ke chali hai,” and another fan suggested a movie that combines the two franchises. The poster revelation comes just as Rani Mukerji is about to win her first National Award for her amazing work in Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway.
