Marvel Unveils Exciting New Projects in 85th Anniversary Promo

Marvel Entertainment is celebrating its 85th anniversary in style with an electrifying promotional video that offers fans a sneak peek into several highly anticipated upcoming projects. Shared across Marvel’s official social media channels, the clip not only honors Marvel’s rich history but also teases exciting content that will continue to expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The anniversary promo opens with a thrilling preview of Thunderbolts, slated for release on May 2, 2025, in IMAX theaters. The footage reveals the titular team of antiheroes, including Red Guardian (David Harbour), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), and US Agent (Wyatt Russell), making a dramatic entrance as elevator doors slide open.

Next, the video features a brief yet powerful segment from Daredevil: Born Again, which is set to debut on Disney+ in March 2025. Fans are treated to a glimpse of Charlie Cox reprising his role as Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil. Cox originally portrayed the character in the Netflix series Daredevil (2015-2018) and The Defenders (2017) before transitioning to the MCU with an appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022).

The promo concludes with an exhilarating scene from Captain America: Brave New World, set for an IMAX release on February 14, 2025. In this powerful sequence, Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk is seen making a dramatic entrance at a presidential podium in front of the White House, showcasing his formidable transformation.

Accompanying the action-packed visuals, the promo includes a reflective message about Marvel’s journey: “It began as an experiment to create an epic narrative that would become a universe of storytelling. For 85 years, our stories have connected us. We’ve only just begun.”

In a touching voiceover, the late Stan Lee, the legendary co-creator of Marvel, shares his thoughts on the power of storytelling: “I’ve always tried to do stories that the characters have human qualities anybody can relate to. … And of course, I can’t leave without saying, ‘Excelsior!'”

This anniversary spot arrives as Marvel continues to build upon its expansive Phase Five, which includes not only the aforementioned projects but also Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Marvels, and Deadpool & Wolverine. According to Deadline, Phase Five will also introduce new series like Secret Invasion, Season 2 of Loki, Season 2 of What If…?, Echo, Agatha All Along, Eyes of Wakanda, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and Ironheart.

As Marvel looks ahead to its next chapter, this 85th anniversary promo serves as a reminder of the enduring legacy and limitless possibilities that have defined the Marvel Universe for generations.
