February 5, 2025: Meghan Markle, alongside Grammy-winning artist Billie Eilish, has shared an uplifting update about a teenager who lost everything in the recent Los Angeles wildfires. On Tuesday evening, Meghan took to her Instagram to reveal the heartfelt gesture she and Billie made to support the young girl.
In an Instagram video, Meghan excitedly walked through her home before revealing a special package that had arrived. She explained that during a visit to Altadena, California, which was severely impacted by the wildfires, she met a mother and her 15-year-old daughter who had tragically lost their home. Meghan learned that before evacuating, the teen had left behind a prized possession—a Billie Eilish concert T-shirt that she had been hoping to find after the fire destroyed everything, including their belongings.
Moved by the girl’s story, Meghan reached out to Billie Eilish’s team, and together, they made sure the teen received a new package filled with Billie’s merchandise, including the sought-after T-shirt. In the video, Meghan shared her joy and gratitude for being able to make a difference in the teen’s life.
She also used the opportunity to encourage others to support wildfire victims, adding in her Instagram caption, “Let’s keep supporting those affected by the California wildfires. Thanks to everyone who made this possible but most importantly, thank you to our first responders who are the community’s real heroes.”
Meghan, who grew up in Los Angeles, and her husband, Prince Harry, have been active in aiding those affected by the wildfires. The couple has been helping with food and supplies distributions in Pasadena, offering shelter to evacuees at their Montecito home, and using their Archewell Foundation to assist wildfire-impacted communities.
In addition, Meghan visited the Altadena Teen Girls Fire Recovery group, an initiative launched by 14-year-old Avery Colvert to gather essentials for teenage girls whose lives were disrupted by the fires.
Through their support, Meghan and Harry continue to make a meaningful impact, helping rebuild and support the local communities devastated by the wildfires.
