After her lifestyle brand’s products sold out in under an hour, Markle sends a heartfelt message to disappointed buyers and promises more surprises ahead.

April 7, 2025 | Los Angeles — Meghan Markle’s lifestyle venture As Ever had a honey-sweet launch — but a tech glitch quickly turned it bittersweet for many eager fans.

After launching her limited-edition products last Wednesday — including wildflower honey, jam, crepe mix, floral sprinkles, and more — the website was flooded with orders. The result? A total sellout in less than an hour, and some customers were unknowingly charged for out-of-stock items.

An email sent by the As Ever team acknowledged the issue and extended an olive branch:

“The excitement created a volume of traffic that even we couldn’t have anticipated. The backend didn’t have a chance to keep up.”

Customers were promised a full refund, and the company also offered a free item from its next limited-edition drop — as a thank-you gift for their patience.

Meghan’s Handwritten Note to Shoppers

In a personal touch, the Duchess of Sussex addressed disappointed fans directly in a heartfelt note included in the email.

“Dear friend, My goodness, what a whirlwind this week has been! Thank you so much for the support,” Markle wrote.

“I was so sorry to hear about what happened with your order… Please know the team worked very hard in every department, and felt just as sad when we learned what had happened.”

She ended her message by promising more to come:

“So much more goodness is coming soon.”

The note was signed simply “Meghan,” in her signature cursive.

Another Hiccup for As Ever

This isn’t the first challenge for Markle’s rebranded business, formerly known as American Riviera Orchard. Since relaunching as As Ever in February 2025, the company has faced:

  • Trademark troubles with a New York-based brand of the same name
  • Logo plagiarism accusations from Spanish politician Xisca Mora
  • A newsletter typo that fans quickly spotted

Despite these bumps, the brand has generated major buzz — and clearly, major demand.
