Met Gala 2025: Rihanna Debuts Baby Bump, Marks Glamorous Return
May 6, 2025: Music and fashion icon Rihanna made headlines once again as she debuted her third pregnancy on the 2025 Met Gala red carpet, alongside partner and co-chair A$AP Rocky.
Arriving at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the couple stunned onlookers with a striking sartorial statement in line with this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which celebrates Black dandyism and elegance in tailoring.
Rihanna, 37, unveiled her baby bump in a gray corset top, paired with a flowing black floor-length skirt and a cropped black jacket, finishing the look with a bold black hat. A$AP Rocky, 36, co-chairing the event alongside Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour, wore a sleek custom all-black ensemble by AWGE.
This year’s Met Gala benefits The Costume Institute and supports its spring 2025 exhibition, dedicated to the influence and evolution of Black style and craftsmanship in fashion.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have become Met Gala mainstays, known for their boundary-pushing looks. Their past appearances—such as Rihanna’s voluminous quilted look in 2021—are now part of the event’s iconic fashion history.
Anna Wintour, Vogue editor-in-chief and Met Gala chairperson, praised the couple’s lasting influence on the fashion world.
“They’re very talented, they’re very brilliant… they have an enormous amount of style,” Wintour told People magazine.
The reveal of Rihanna’s pregnancy added an emotional and celebratory tone to an evening already steeped in cultural significance and style innovation.
