May 1, 2025: The highly anticipated new chapter in the Dexter saga, titled “Dexter: Resurrection”, is set to premiere on July 11, as announced by the show’s creators.
Along with the announcement, fans were treated to a teaser showing Michael C. Hall reprising his iconic role, holding a newspaper that reads, “Dexter Morgan Is Dead”, all while flashing his trademark grin.
According to Deadline, the series will debut with two episodes available for streaming and on-demand for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers. Its on-air premiere will follow on Sunday, July 13 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with new episodes dropping weekly thereafter.

Dexter: Resurrection picks up just weeks after the shocking events of Dexter: New Blood, where Dexter was shot by his own son, Harrison (played by Jack Alcott). Surviving the incident, Dexter awakens from a coma only to find his son missing. Determined to make amends, he sets out for New York City in search of him. But closure proves elusive as Miami Metro’s Angel Batista (David Zayas) resurfaces with questions, forcing Dexter to confront his haunted past.
As father and son spiral deeper into darkness in the heart of New York, they discover that escape—and redemption—may only come if they face their demons together.
The star-studded cast includes Uma Thurman, Peter Dinklage, James Remar, and Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, with guest appearances from Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet, and David Dastmalchian.
