Michele Morrone Praises Blake Lively, Anna Kendrick Ahead of ‘Another Simple Favor’ Release

Italian actor Michele Morrone, best known for his breakout role in 365 Days, is stepping into a high-profile Hollywood spotlight with Another Simple Favor, the stylish sequel to the 2018 cult thriller. Starring alongside Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, Morrone plays Dante Versano, a wealthy and enigmatic Italian businessman about to marry Blake’s character, Emily, in a lavish wedding on the idyllic island of Capri.
Ahead of the film’s global release on Amazon Prime Video on May 1, Morrone shared his admiration for his co-stars.
On Anna Kendrick:
“She’s so focused on her work. She is so talented. I don’t think that there could be any other actress playing the role of Stephanie,” he said, praising her portrayal of the perky and persistent Stephanie Smothers.
On Blake Lively:
“Blake is one of the most polite, gentle, and truly professional co-stars that I’ve ever had in my career,” Morrone added, calling her presence both inspiring and collaborative.
Another Simple Favor reunites audiences with Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick) and the ever-mysterious Emily Nelson (Lively). When Emily invites Stephanie to her extravagant destination wedding in Capri, the picturesque setting soon gives way to secrets, betrayal, and murder. The glamorous affair spirals into a web of suspense, with Dante’s character at the heart of the intrigue.
Directed by Paul Feig, the film had its premiere at the South by Southwest Festival (SXSW) on March 7, 2025, earning early buzz for its high fashion, sharp humor, and unpredictable plot. With a blend of European elegance and dark comedy, Another Simple Favor promises to be a compelling watch for fans of mystery, glamour, and wicked twists.
