
Mirzapur: The Film: Production Begins with Rasika Dugal on Set
The highly anticipated film adaptation of the hit series Mirzapur has officially gone into production. Rasika Dugal, who plays the pivotal role of Beena Tripathi, is the first to begin shooting, teasing an even more impactful storyline for her character.
September 8, 2025: The long-awaited movie version of the famous crime show Mirzapur has officially started filming, with actress Rasika Dugal starting the first day of shooting. Excel Entertainment is in charge of the production, which is called Mirzapur: The Film. It will come out in theaters in 2026 and then go to an OTT platform.
Gurmmeet Singh is directing the movie, which will feature the main actors from the show, such as Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu, Divyenndu as Munna Bhaiya, and Abhishek Banerjee as Compounder. A source close to the movie has stated that Rasika Dugal’s character, Beena Tripathi, will have a fresh and major story arc in the movie.
Vikrant Massey Will Be Replaced by Jitendra Kumar
Jitendra Kumar, a well-known actor from Panchayat and Kota Factory, has officially joined the cast. This is a big casting development. He is said to be taking over the role of Bablu Pandit from Vikrant Massey. Reports in the media say that Massey was asked to play his part again but said no because he didn’t want to go back to the dramatic death of his character in the first season. It is reported that producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani respected his choice. The movie will also have new cast members, including Mohit Malik, who will play a big part in the franchise.
Fans are excited to see how the world of Mirzapur will look on a bigger screen, especially because major cast members are already on set and there will be a big-screen show.
