“Miss You Kapoor Sahab”: Neetu Kapoor Honors Late Husband Rishi Kapoor on His Death Anniversary

April 30, 2025: Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor shared a heartfelt tribute to her late husband, legendary actor Rishi Kapoor, on the fifth anniversary of his passing.

Taking to Instagram, Neetu shared a throwback photo of Rishi, where he was seen holding a glass while clicking a selfie, and wrote, “Miss You Kapoor Sahab.”

This emotional post is not the first time Neetu has shared precious memories of Rishi. Earlier this month, she revisited a special moment from their past by posting a black-and-white photo from their engagement days in 1979, reflecting on the passage of time. She captioned it, “Was engaged on this day in 1979 💍 time flies.”

Rishi and Neetu, one of Bollywood’s most iconic couples, were married on January 22, 1980, and had two children: daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and actor Ranbir Kapoor. The couple starred together in numerous successful films during the 70s and 80s, including hits like Amar Akbar Anthony, Khel Khel Mein, Kabhi Kabhie, and Rafoo Chakkar.

Rishi Kapoor, known for his iconic roles in films such as Bobby, Chandni, and Karz, passed away on April 30, 2020, after a two-year battle with leukemia. He was 67 years old. His last film, Sharmaji Namkeen, was completed posthumously with actor Paresh Rawal stepping in to complete his scenes.
