May 19, 2025: Mission Impossible 8: The Final Reckoning continues its box office rampage in India. After a record-setting debut on Saturday, the film held firm on Sunday, earning another ₹16.5 crore, taking its two-day total to ₹33 crore, according to early estimates from Sacnilk.

The Tom Cruise-starrer has already surpassed the lifetime Indian collections of recent Marvel films, including Thunderbolts (₹22.5 crore) and Captain America: Brave New World (₹23 crore). The action-packed spy thriller has now collected nearly 30% of what Mission Impossible 7 made in its full run, and it’s on track to hit the ₹50 crore mark within the first week.
The real test will begin Monday when weekday footfalls typically drop, but strong reviews and word-of-mouth could ensure continued momentum.
Global Launch Yet to Come
While Indian audiences are already packing theatres, Mission Impossible 8 is yet to open in most major international markets, including the US, where it hits screens on May 23. Trade analysts expect it to be the first in the franchise to potentially cross the $1 billion global mark, given the critical acclaim and growing anticipation.
