Mumbai, June 27, 2025 – Tom Cruise’s final ride as Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible 8 – The Final Reckoning has delivered impressive numbers at the Indian box office. The action thriller, which released on May 17, 2025, has maintained a steady hold for over six weeks, ultimately grossing over ₹100 crore in India, with a net collection between ₹92–95 crore.

This makes Mission: Impossible 8 the highest-grossing installment of the franchise in India and also Cruise’s top-earning film in the country. The film’s opening weeks saw consistent footfall, aided by strong word of mouth and loyal fan following of the franchise.

Despite facing stiff competition from local blockbusters like Chhaava, Sitaare Zameen Par, and Housefull 5, Cruise’s farewell mission managed to hold its own. Box office experts suggest the film benefitted from its massive IMAX rollout and multiplex dominance in metro cities.
With this performance, MI 8 has cemented its place as Hollywood’s biggest success in India for 2025, surpassing earlier franchise records and beating out several other international releases.
