Claims of harassment, threats and counter-allegations spark major controversy
March 25, 2026: Viral Kumbh Mela sensation Monalisa Bhosle has accused filmmaker Sanoj Mishra of sexual harassment during a press conference in Kochi. She alleged that Mishra touched her inappropriately multiple times during the shooting of The Diary of Manipur in Nepal and Dehradun. Breaking down while speaking, she claimed she informed her family but did not receive support, adding that the alleged behaviour was repeated and distressing.
Bhosle further accused the director of exploiting aspiring actresses and making false promises of film roles. She also alleged interference in her personal life, claiming Mishra is unhappy with her marriage to actor Farman Khan and is spreading misleading narratives about their relationship. The couple also claimed they have been receiving threats, raising concerns about their safety.
In response, Mishra has filed a complaint, alleging that Bhosle was influenced into her interfaith marriage and linking it to broader conspiracy claims. The controversy has intensified with both sides making serious allegations, including financial disputes and family-related claims.
