The war of words between veteran actor Mukesh Khanna and comedian Samay Raina has reached a boiling point following the release of Raina’s YouTube special, Still Alive.

On Thursday, April 9, 2026, the Shaktimaan star took to Instagram to launch a scathing attack on the comedian, who had used his special to take several digs at Khanna for his criticism during the India’s Got Latent controversy.

Khanna, known for his unfiltered opinions, posted a photoshopped image of Raina with his face blackened, sitting on a donkey, and labeled him a “creature burned in the fire of filth.”

Khanna’s outburst was triggered by Samay’s counter-argument in the special, where the comedian addressed Khanna’s concerns about the “bad influence” of modern content on children.

Samay took a provocative swipe at the veteran’s legacy, reminding the audience that during the peak of Shaktimaan, there were frequent reports of children jumping from buildings expecting the superhero to save them. Khanna responded by comparing the comedian to a “dog’s tail” that will always remain crooked, further suggesting that Samay should be paraded through cities to face public shaming for “insulting a superhero.”

The controversy has divided the digital space, as Samay Raina also used his special to roast other vocal critics, including Sunil Pal, B Praak, and even his frequent collaborator Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps). Despite the intense backlash from veteran industry figures, Samay remains undeterred.

At the conclusion of Still Alive, he officially confirmed that Season 2 of India’s Got Latent is in the works, signaling his intent to continue his “unfiltered” brand of comedy regardless of the institutional pushback.
