
April 9, 2025: In a major development in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case, Mumbai’s Bandra Police have submitted a detailed 1,000-page chargesheet in court, compiling extensive evidence against the prime accused, Shehzad alias Shariful Islam.

The actor was attacked on January 16, when Shehzad allegedly attempted to rob Khan’s Bandra residence and ended up stabbing the Bollywood star. Saif was severely injured, with damage to his thoracic spine and other areas. He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he remained under care for five days before being discharged on January 21.

The police believe that Shehzad broke into the residence with the intent to rob but ended up violently attacking the actor when confronted.
