Munawar Faruqui Calls The 50 Show A ‘Torture’

In a classic display of his sharp wit and “Lock Upp” style roasting, Munawar Faruqui has officially entered the world of the new reality show The 50. While his guest appearance was meant to “set the class,” the comedian took to social media to deliver a brutal yet hilarious assessment of the show’s chaos.

Calling the show a “torture,” Munawar didn’t hold back on the current dynamics between the heavyweights and the newcomers.

The “Vansh” Dig at Prince & Karan

Munawar took a sharp jab at veteran reality stars Prince Narula and Karan Patel for their role in the very first elimination of the show:

  • The Punchline: Munawar joked that Prince and Karan should start getting “condom advertisements” because “in dono ne Vansh ko aage badhne nahi diya” (these two didn’t let the ‘Vansh’—referring to eliminated contestant Vanshaj Singh—go forward).
  • The Context: Vanshaj Singh was the first contestant voted out on Day 1, a move largely attributed to the strategic alliance between the senior celebrities.

The “JioHotstar Logo” Roast of Manisha Rani

Munawar’s most viral comment, however, was reserved for fan-favorite Manisha Rani.

  • The Comparison: He compared her to the JioHotstar logo, stating that everyone keeps her “thasa ke” (pushed) into the corner, just like the logo stays in the corner of the screen.
  • The Intent: While the comment seemed harsh to some, fans of both stars recognize it as Munawar’s signature style of highlighting how even strong players are being sidelined by the show’s “big groups.”

The Chaos Inside the Palace

Munawar’s “torture” remark comes at a time when The 50 is facing heavy criticism for escalating violence:

  • The Nikki-Arbaaz Drama: Nikki Tamboli was recently eliminated but returned to confront Prince Narula over alleged body-shaming remarks.
  • Physical Altercation: The confrontation reportedly turned physical when Nikki’s boyfriend, Arbaaz Patel, stepped in to defend her against Prince. This altercation led to Arbaaz Patel’s immediate exit from the show.
  • Karan Patel’s Exit: Reports suggest Karan Patel also briefly stepped away from the show due to a rib injury and his frustration with the “toxic” and “aggressive” environment, though he is expected to return after medical recovery.
