Nagarjuna’s Son Akhil Begins a New Chapter with Zainab Ravdjee
June 6, 2025: Love was in the air as actor Akhil Akkineni, son of Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Zainab Ravdjee in a grand yet traditional ceremony in Hyderabad on Friday.
The wedding followed classic Telugu rituals and was graced by a galaxy of stars including Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, and filmmaker Prashanth Neel. Akhil kept it simple with a traditional shirt, while Zainab stunned in an elegant ivory saree paired with dazzling diamond jewellery.

The Akkineni family was all smiles at the celebration, with Akhil’s brother Naga Chaitanya also in attendance. This marks the second major wedding in Nagarjuna’s family in recent times. Last year, Naga Chaitanya married actress Sobhita Dhulipala in a similarly traditional ceremony.
Akhil had announced his engagement to Zainab six months ago via Instagram with a heartfelt post:“Found my forever. Happy to announce that Zainab Ravdjee and I are happily engaged.”
Sobhita, at her own wedding, had made headlines in a gold Kanjivaram silk saree with real gold zari, paired with intricate temple jewellery, paying homage to her cultural roots. Naga Chaitanya complemented her in classic white traditional attire.
The couple had announced their relationship with a poetic Instagram post quoting A.K. Ramanujan’s Kurunthogai, adding an emotional touch to their celebration of love.
Naga Chaitanya was previously married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The former couple announced their separation in 2021.
