Nani and Priyanka Mohan Seek Blessings at Tirupati Balaji Ahead of ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ Release

Actor Nani, along with his co-star Priyanka Mohan, visited the sacred Tirupati Balaji temple on Saturday to seek blessings ahead of their upcoming film ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’. The duo, dressed in traditional attire, was seen arriving at the temple with Nani’s family, reflecting their deep-rooted cultural values. The visit also saw actor Raghava Lawrence paying homage to Lord Balaji, further adding to the occasion’s significance.

‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ is an eagerly anticipated action drama directed by Vivek Athreya. The film, produced by DVV Entertainment—the production house behind the global blockbuster RRR—is set to release on August 29, 2024. With music by Jakes Bejoy and featuring Priyanka Mohan as the female lead, the film will be available in five languages: Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, catering to a wide audience.

Nani recently shared his excitement about the film’s unique concept, describing it as a fresh take on the action genre. “I’ve done action films before, but within action films, I really believe that there are different genres, and this one’s very different because it doesn’t just rely on action blocks or the story. The screenplay and the unique premise—a guy who can only react or show his anger on Saturday, facing an evil adversary—make this action film very intriguing,” Nani explained.

Despite the film’s complex storyline, Nani found his role as Surya surprisingly relatable. “It was actually not very challenging because the challenging roles for me are the ones I can’t personally relate to, and I need to work on every small detail. Somehow Surya felt like me, so it was actually a lot easier to pull off,” he shared, highlighting the creative challenges faced by director Vivek Athreya in crafting such a story.

Before ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’, Nani was seen in Shouryuv’s directorial ‘Hi Nanna’, opposite Mrunal Thakur. The Telugu film received widespread acclaim from both critics and audiences. ‘Hi Nanna’ is currently available on Netflix in Telugu, along with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, further showcasing Nani’s versatility as an actor.

As the release date for ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ approaches, fans eagerly await what promises to be a captivating and action-packed cinematic experience.
