Veteran actor Neena Gupta is all set to star in the upcoming film ‘Hindi-Vindi’, alongside Mihir Ahuja, known for his role in ‘The Archies’.
The first look of the film was unveiled on Wednesday, showcasing the lead stars in an intense and visually captivating frame, hinting at a storyline rich with emotion, drama, and music.
‘Hindi-Vindi’ is a creation of filmmakers director Ali Sayed, writer Jay Sharma, and producers Aniket Deshkar, Anil Sharma, and Sunny Shah. Speaking about the film, director Ali Sayed expressed excitement about sharing the first look with the world. “This film is a labor of love, and we can’t wait for audiences to embark on this journey with us. The first look is just a glimpse of what’s in store, and we believe it will leave everyone eagerly anticipating the release.”
The film’s music is composed by the award-winning duo Javed-Mohsin and Guy Sebastian. Currently in the final stages of post-production, ‘Hindi-Vindi’ is a musical drama exploring intergenerational language barriers within the migrant community. It is tentatively set to hit theaters in September 2024, close to Hindi Diwas, celebrating the Hindi language.
In addition to ‘Hindi-Vindi’, Neena Gupta will be seen in a Malayalam series soon to be released on Disney+ Hotstar. She also mentioned her involvement in a film with Rakul Preet Singh, tentatively titled ‘Made in India’, and another film, ‘Baa’, which features a dog. Gupta was last seen in the third season of ‘Panchayat’, where she faced challenges with the language while shooting in Mahodiya village, Madhya Pradesh.
