February 7, 2025: Veteran Bollywood actress Neena Gupta visited the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on February 6, 2025, and shared her awe and admiration for the massive spiritual gathering. The ‘Badhaai Ho’ star described her visit as a “unique experience” and expressed how attending the Kumbh had been on her wish list for many years.

“I have been wanting to come here for years… It was a unique experience… Finally, I took a dip today,” Neena Gupta told.

The actress was amazed by the grand scale of the Kumbh Mela, calling the atmosphere “crazy” and adding that she had never seen a larger gathering in her life. She also praised the government for efficiently organizing such a monumental event.

The Maha Kumbh Mela is a significant religious gathering for Hindus, where devotees come to bathe in the holy confluence of the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati. As of February 6, over 397.4 million devotees have already participated in the ritual of taking a holy dip at the Sangam.

The event has drawn attention from prominent figures across various sectors, including political leaders like PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, among others. Celebrities from the film and sports industries, including Hema Malini, Anupam Kher, Bhagyashree, Milind Soman, cricketer Suresh Raina, and wrestler Khali, have also participated in the spiritual gathering.

The Kumbh Mela is known for its impeccable organization, and many devotees have praised the seamless arrangements for security, sanitation, and amenities. The 2025 Maha Kumbh, which started on January 13, will continue until February 26 and is expected to set new records for attendance and participation.
