Neetu Kapoor Celebrates 66th Birthday in Swiss Alps
Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor celebrated her 66th birthday amidst the stunning Swiss Alps, accompanied by her daughter Riddhima Kapoor, son-in-law, and granddaughter.
Riddhima took to Instagram Stories on Monday to share a heartwarming video of the celebration. In the clip, Neetu can be seen enjoying a special dessert while her family sings to her. Riddhima also posted a picture captioned, “Just us girls enjoying our bubbly. Love and only love. Happy birthday my mommykins.” Another touching photo features three generations of Kapoor women: Neetu, Riddhima, and Riddhima’s daughter, Samaira.
Neetu Kapoor began her acting career at the age of eight and gained fame for her roles in films like ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ and ‘Do Kaliyan.’ Between the ages of 5 and 21, she appeared in about 70 to 80 films.
In 1980, she married her co-star Rishi Kapoor. During the 70s and 80s, Rishi and Neetu starred together in several hits such as ‘Amar Akbar Anthony,’ ‘Khel Khel Mein,’ ‘Rafoo Chakkar,’ ‘Kabhi Kabhie,’ and ‘Besharam,’ becoming icons both on-screen and off-screen.
Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 67, after battling leukemia. The couple had two children: actor Ranbir Kapoor and designer Riddhima Kapoor Sahani. Neetu took a break from acting to focus on her family, mentioning Rishi’s possessiveness and his desire for her to be by his side.
Neetu Kapoor made a comeback to acting last year with the film ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo,’ starring alongside Anil Kapoor.
