March 27, 2025: Bollywood playback singer Neha Kakkar has finally addressed the viral incident from her recent Melbourne concert, where she faced loud booing and criticism for arriving nearly three hours late. In her first public response, Neha took to Instagram Stories with a short but powerful message:
“Wait for the truth, you’ll regret judging me so quickly.”

The backlash began after a video surfaced online showing an emotional Neha Kakkar breaking down on stage and apologising to the audience for the delay. Despite her heartfelt words, the live audience expressed their frustration, and the internet followed suit, calling her “unprofessional.”

In the now-viral clip, Neha said tearfully,

“Guys, you are really sweet! You have been patient. Itni der se aap log wait kar rahe ho. I hate it. Maine life mein kabhi kisi ko wait nahi karwaya. I’m so sorry. Aaj aap log mere liye itna kimti time nikaal kar aaye ho — I will make sure you all dance tonight!”

Amid the growing criticism, Neha’s brother and singer Tony Kakkar also came forward with a cryptic Instagram post defending her. Without naming anyone, he described a hypothetical scenario in which an artist arrives in a new city only to find that hotel bookings, airport pickups, and basic arrangements are missing.

In his post, Tony wrote:

“Suppose I invite you to my city for an event and take full responsibility for all arrangements… but when you arrive, nothing is ready. Who is to blame?”

“Ek sawaal hai… kisi ke liye nahi hai… bas sawaal hai… hypothetically.”

While Neha continues to trend for the wrong reasons, fans and followers are now divided — some empathizing with the star, others demanding more accountability.
