Neha Kakkar Cries on Melbourne Stage; Crowd Says 'Wapas Jaao'
March 25, 2025: Melbourne: Bollywood pop sensation Neha Kakkar found herself at the center of a controversy during her Melbourne concert when she arrived on stage three hours late. In a viral video shared on Reddit, the singer appeared visibly emotional, even crying on stage while apologizing to fans for the delay.
“I hate it… I’ve never made anyone wait in my life,” Neha told the audience, her voice trembling. “You’ve been waiting so long. It means a lot to me. I’ll remember this evening forever. I’ll make sure I make you all dance tonight.”

But not everyone in the crowd was touched by her heartfelt apology. Angry voices from the audience can be heard shouting, “Go back! Rest in your hotel,” and “This is not India, you’re in Australia.” Another frustrated attendee quipped, “Very good acting! This isn’t Indian Idol.”
The video sparked a wave of mixed reactions online—some empathized with the singer, while others criticized the delay and questioned her professionalism.
Neha had performed in Sydney earlier as part of her Australia tour and had shared glimpses from that show on Instagram. However, the Melbourne event did not go as smoothly.
Kakkar, known for chartbusters like “Garmi,” “Coca Cola,” and “Badri Ki Dulhaniya,” has often drawn praise for her high-energy live performances. But this incident has sparked a debate about punctuality and audience respect, especially at international venues.
