Neha Kakkar Slammed by Organisers for Melbourne Concert Drama: “She Lied, Refused to Perform for Just 700 People”

Concert planners accuse singer Neha Kakkar of misleading fans over Melbourne show fiasco, claim she was fully paid and refused to perform due to low attendance.

Singer Neha Kakkar, who recently made headlines after breaking down on stage at her March Melbourne concert, is now under fire from event organisers who claim her version of events was misleading. Kakkar had earlier alleged that organisers fled with her payment, and that her team was denied basic amenities like food, water, and hotel accommodation.

However, Australian event planners Pace D and Bikram Singh Randhawa have refuted her claims, stating that Neha arrived three hours late and refused to perform when she saw only 700 attendees at the venue. “She told the organisers she wouldn’t go on stage until the stadium was filled,” they said in an interview with Siddharth Kannan.

The organisers said the first show in Sydney, which saw 1,500 to 2,000 people, went smoothly. The issue arose during the Melbourne concert the following day. “The crowd had paid around AUD 300 (₹16,000) each and waited for hours. They were angry,” they added.

They further disputed Neha’s claims about the lack of sound check and non-payment of sound engineers. “Other performers went on as planned; the full setup was there,” they insisted.

On Kakkar’s allegations of not being provided with a hotel or transport, the organisers countered, “She was staying in a hotel, travelling in a G-Wagon. It’s standard practice in Australia to pay artists in full before they even fly in. Neha was no exception—she was 100% paid in advance.”

According to them, the low turnout led to a loss of AUD 500,000 for the organiser.

Earlier, Kakkar defended herself on Instagram, saying, “I performed for free. The organisers ran away with money and didn’t provide food, hotel, or sound. We were stranded.” She claimed the sound check was delayed, and the organisers became unreachable, leaving her unaware whether the show would proceed.

Neha Kakkar, known for chartbusters like Badri Ki Dulhaniya, Garmi, Coca Cola, and Gali Gali, has not responded to the latest accusations from the Australian event team.
