Netflix has announced an exciting new project in collaboration with the creator duo Raj & DK. Titled ‘Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom,’ this action-fantasy series marks another ambitious venture for the popular streaming platform. Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, known for his acclaimed work on ‘Tumbbad,’ the series has already begun filming.
Netflix revealed the project through its Instagram account, sharing an intriguing first poster. The announcement was accompanied by a caption that read, “We’ve got BIGGGGGG news that’ll stir your blood! We’re pumped to announce our first ever action-fantasy series.” The poster featured a crown dripping with blood, hinting at a dramatic and intense storyline.
‘Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom’ marks Raj & DK’s second collaboration with Netflix, following their success with ‘Guns and Gulaabs,’ which starred Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, and Adarsh Gourav.
The new series promises a thrilling and edgy narrative set in a fantastical kingdom, featuring intense action and stunning visuals. Raj & DK expressed their excitement about exploring uncharted territory with this project. “Our goal is to develop a fictional world that is both original and reminiscent of the fantastical tales we have heard in our childhood. We are having an amazing time working with the very talented Rahi and our uber-versatile partner Sita to bring this unique vision to life,” they said.
Monika Shergill, Vice-President of Content at Netflix India, emphasized the groundbreaking nature of the series. “‘Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom’ will be our first mega action-fantasy series and is set to redefine the genre by combining grand-scale action with a thrilling storyline,” she stated.
While filming has commenced, the official cast announcement is expected soon. As anticipation builds, fans can look forward to an epic and captivating addition to Netflix’s growing repertoire of original content.
