Nick Jonas On Embracing Indian Culture And Hindu Values
Marriage to Priyanka Chopra reshapes singer’s faith, family life
February 10, 2026: Nick Jonas has opened up about how marrying Priyanka Chopra transformed his understanding of culture, tradition and faith. Speaking on the Sach Sang Show, the singer reflected on his first visits to India, describing them as “magic” experiences that introduced him to a close-knit family system and traditions he now deeply cherishes. What began as cultural unfamiliarity gradually turned into an emotional connection, with Indian festivals, holidays and memories becoming an integral part of his life.
Nick also spoke about his growing appreciation for Hindu philosophy, calling it profound and grounding. He highlighted concepts such as karma and dharma, explaining how they have influenced his outlook on kindness, responsibility and everyday choices. According to him, Hindu values are not just rituals but meaningful principles that guide how one lives and treats others. He described himself as “very blessed” to be part of a multicultural and multi-religious family.
The couple, who welcomed daughter Malti Marie via surrogacy in 2022, are raising her in a household that honours both Hindu and Christian traditions. Nick said this balanced approach will help Malti grow with empathy and respect for different belief systems. Married in December 2018 through both Hindu and Christian ceremonies, Nick and Priyanka continue to live by the values of openness, cultural harmony and mutual respect—principles that now shape their family life.
