Nick Jonas Reveals Priyanka Chopra’s Role in His Acting Prep: ‘It’s Kind of Weird But Wonderful’

Nick Jonas has recently shared an interesting and heartwarming aspect of his relationship with wife Priyanka Chopra—she helps him prepare for his acting roles. In an interview with E! News on August 15, Nick opened up about the dynamic duo’s creative partnership at home, revealing how Priyanka, an accomplished actor herself, plays a crucial role in his acting process.

“I’ve got a pretty good scene partner at home,” Nick said, with a smile. “By pretty good, I mean like, world-class, so that’s always nice.”

Nick went on to discuss how Priyanka assists him with audition tapes, even though the experience can feel “kind of weird.” He was quick to add, however, that it’s also “wonderful.”

The couple, who tied the knot in December 2018 in both Christian and Hindu ceremonies at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, have a unique way of keeping their creativity alive. Although they don’t always rehearse lines together, they do discuss their characters and exchange ideas, ensuring that their home is a nurturing space for their artistic endeavors.

“We just talk about, you know, characters,” Nick explained. “It’s great to stay creative at home, and then you can bring that into the workspace.”

Priyanka and Nick, who became parents to their daughter Malti Marie via surrogacy in January 2022, continue to balance their bustling careers with family life. Recently, Priyanka wrapped up the shooting of her upcoming film ‘The Bluff’, which she celebrated with Nick, Malti, and her mother Madhu Chopra on set.

‘The Bluff’, directed by Frank E Flowers, is set in the 19th-century Caribbean and follows Priyanka as a former pirate who must protect her family from the dangers of her past. The film, produced by the Russo BrothersAGBO Studios in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios, promises to be a thrilling adventure.

While Priyanka is busy with projects like ‘The Bluff’ and ‘Heads of State’ alongside John Cena and Idris Elba, Nick is gearing up for his role in ‘The Good Half,’ a comedy-drama directed by Robert Schwartzman. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Brittany Snow, David Arquette, Alexandra Shipp, Matt Walsh, and Elisabeth Shue.

As they both navigate their demanding careers, it’s clear that the couple’s support for one another continues to be a cornerstone of their success, both on and off the screen.
