Nicole Kidman is heartbroken and “didn’t want this” separation from Keith Urban, who reportedly moved out this summer.
September 30, 2025: In a stunning announcement that has shocked Hollywood, Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and country music superstar Keith Urban have reportedly separated after 19 years of marriage.

Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, who married in Sydney on June 25, 2006, have been living apart since the beginning of the summer, according to a previous report by TMZ. Urban is said to have moved out of the couple’s long-time family home in Nashville.

The news comes just three months after Kidman marked their wedding anniversary by sharing a photo of herself and Urban on Instagram, writing, “Happy Anniversary Baby @KeithUrban.”
Kidman “Didn’t Want This”
Sources close to the couple have indicated that the separation was not mutual. An insider told the entertainment news magazine People that the actress did not wish for the split. “She didn’t want this… She has been fighting to save the marriage,” the source stated.
The source added that Kidman’s family, especially her sister Antonia, has rallied around the star during this difficult time. “Nicole’s sister (Antonia) has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.”
The couple shares two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. Kidman is also mother to two adopted children, Isabella and Connor Cruise, from her previous marriage to actor Tom Cruise, which lasted from 1990 to 2001.
Despite the news, the A-list duo have maintained a focus on their professional commitments. Kidman was last seen in the 2025 psychological thriller film “Holland” and recently wrapped filming for the highly anticipated “Practical Magic 2”. Urban is currently on his tour, with his next performance scheduled for October 2, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Neither Nicole Kidman nor Keith Urban’s representatives have issued an official statement regarding the separation or any potential divorce proceedings.
