Nikita Porwal Crowned Miss India 2024, Will Represent India at Miss World

October 18, 2024: Nikita Porwal, an 18-year-old actress from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, has been crowned Miss India 2024 in the 60th edition of Femina Miss India. The event took place at Famous Studios in Mumbai on October 16, 2024. Nikita will now represent India on the global stage at the Miss World competition. Last year’s Miss India, Nandini Gupta, passed on the crown, while Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia bestowed the prestigious sash.

The competition also saw Rekha Pandey from Daman and Diu and Aayushi Dholakia from Gujarat take home the titles of first and second runners-up, respectively. Rekha, a Film and Mass Communication graduate from Mumbai, is inspired by the journey of Priyanka Chopra and hopes to uplift rural women through her platform. Aayushi, a passionate advocate for fitness and wellness, aspires to inspire young women with her dedication and resilience.

Nikita’s journey has been one of passion and perseverance. Hailing from Ujjain, a city renowned for its spiritual and cultural heritage, Nikita began her career as a TV anchor and recently ventured into film. She has also carved a niche for herself in the world of theater and storytelling, having performed in over 60 plays. One of her most remarkable achievements is authoring a 250-page theatrical piece titled Krishna Leela.

A graduate of Carmel Convent Senior Secondary School, Ujjain, Nikita later moved to Gujarat to pursue higher education at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Her diverse interests in cinematography, storytelling, and theater have shaped her unique perspective on the world. She hopes to work with renowned Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the future.

On the night of the competition, Nikita dazzled the audience in a nude-toned champagne gown by Portia and Scarlett, encrusted with Swarovski crystals. The elegant gown, featuring a thigh-high slit and sleeveless design, perfectly complemented her silver open-toe heels and diamond drop earrings.

Apart from her work in film and theater, Nikita is an animal lover who is dedicated to using her platform to promote compassion and kindness towards all living beings. With her combination of beauty, talent, and a compassionate heart, Nikita Porwal is set to leave a lasting impact both on the Miss World stage and beyond.
