In anticipation of her youngest son Anant Ambani’s wedding, Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, visited the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple. During her visit, she offered the first wedding invitation to Lord Shiva, seeking divine blessings for the upcoming nuptials. The much-anticipated wedding between Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant, is set to take place on July 12 at the prestigious Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai.
Nita Ambani, adorned in a beautiful pink saree, participated in the sacred Ganga Aarti. Speaking to the media after her prayers, she expressed her joy and sense of blessing. “I offered prayers to Lord Shiva. I am feeling very blessed. Today, I came here with the invitation for the wedding of Anant and Radhika to offer it to the almighty. I came here after 10 years and I am happy to see the development here,” she said. Reflecting on her visit after a decade, she added, “It is my fortune that I have come here during Ganga Aarti. It feels so good… There is so much ‘Shakti’ here.”
Following her temple visit, Nita Ambani also visited a local chaat shop, engaging with the community and savoring the local delicacies.
As the wedding day approaches, Mumbai is gearing up for a grand celebration blending tradition, opulence, and modernity. The wedding festivities will adhere to traditional Hindu Vedic customs. The main ceremonies will commence on Friday, July 12, with the auspicious Shubh Vivah. Guests are encouraged to dress in traditional Indian attire to honor the occasion. The celebrations will continue on Saturday, July 13, with Shubh Aashirwad, where attendees will receive divine blessings. The final event, Mangal Utsav or the wedding reception, is scheduled for Sunday, July 14, where guests have been asked to dress in ‘Indian chic.’
Radhika Merchant, the daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant and entrepreneur Shaila Merchant, is set to join the Ambani family, marking a significant union of two prominent industrialist families.
