‘Nobody Wants This’ Season 2 Set To Begin Filming In Feb 2025, Deets Inside

November 16, 2024: The much-awaited second season of Nobody Wants This, starring Adam Brody and Kristen Bell, is officially set to begin shooting in February 2025, with plans for a potential release by September 2025. This exciting update was shared by both stars during a recent Netflix FYC (For Your Consideration) event.

Adam Brody, who plays a recently single rabbi in the show, spoke candidly about the upcoming season, expressing his hope that the filming process would go smoothly. “Hopefully, it won’t be so bad. We’re shooting in February and hopefully they’ll have it out by September next year,” he said, giving fans a glimpse into the production timeline.

Kristen Bell, who portrays a non-Jewish sex podcast host in the series, shared her excitement about the new season, teasing that viewers can expect some fresh additions to the cast and crew. “We’ve added some delicious people to the mix, [new showrunners] Jenny Connor and Bruce Eric Kaplan, which is very exciting. Nothing has been completely decided yet, but the writers have been in it for about a month. The season is roughly boarded out and I’m very happy,” Bell revealed.

In terms of the tone and direction of the new season, both Brody and Bell expressed their desires for the show to maintain its charm while exploring new territory. Brody said he wants the season to be “clever, sweet, and funny,” adding, “I don’t care, as long as it’s clever and sweet and funny. I want it to be good, and that can take many forms. I’m not too invested in the twists and turns as long as they’re true and smart and fun to play.”

The series centers around the unexpected romance between Brody’s character, a rabbi newly navigating single life, and Bell’s character, a non-Jewish sex podcast host. The first season, which debuted earlier this year, was well-received and quickly became a hit on Netflix, thanks to its unique premise, sharp humor, and the chemistry between the lead actors.

With the new showrunners, Jenny Connor and Bruce Eric Kaplan, onboard for Season 2, and fresh characters being introduced, fans can expect even more delightful and heartfelt moments as the series continues to explore the unlikely yet endearing relationship between the two protagonists.
