NTR Jr Honors Grandfather NTR on 101st Birth Anniversary
In a heartfelt tribute, superstar NTR Jr paid homage to his legendary grandfather, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), on his 101st birth anniversary. The “RRR” star visited the NTR Ghat early Tuesday morning, where he was seen with folded hands, reverently honoring the memory of the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Joining him at the memorial were his brother, Nandamuri Kalyanram, and their uncle, actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna. The trio offered flowers and paid their respects to the iconic figure who left an indelible mark on Indian cinema and politics.
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, affectionately known as NTR, was a multifaceted personality—a celebrated actor, producer, director, and editor. He served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years and garnered immense respect and love from the people. His illustrious film career includes three National Film Awards for co-producing “Thodu Dongalu” (1954) and “Seetharama Kalyanam” (1960), and directing “Varakatnam” (1970). Additionally, he received the prestigious Rashtrapati Awards for his performances in “Raju Peda” (1954) and “Lava Kusa” (1963).
On the professional front, NTR Jr is gearing up for his next big release, “Devara,” a Pan-India film featuring Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. He is also set to star in “War 2,” directed by Ayan Mukerji, known for hits like “Wake Up Sid,” “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,” and “Brahmastra.”
This solemn occasion marked a moment of remembrance and respect, highlighting the enduring legacy of NTR and his profound influence on his family and fans alike.
