March 1, 2025: Rapper Offset has officially requested joint legal custody of his three children with estranged wife Cardi B, according to court documents obtained by E! News. The ‘Ric Flair Drip’ artist, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, filed this request as part of their ongoing divorce proceedings.
Offset’s request includes joint legal custody for the couple’s two children, Kulture, 6, and Wave, 3, as well as their 5-month-old daughter, whose name has not been publicly disclosed. However, he has also asked for Cardi B’s home to remain the primary residence for the children, indicating a desire for the children to stay with their mother primarily.

Additionally, Offset has requested that each party be responsible for their own legal fees in this case. This development comes after Cardi B filed for divorce in July, and the couple has been navigating a complex and at times contentious legal battle ever since.
In the latest turn of events, the couple has exchanged public comments, with Offset posting a now-deleted message on X (formerly Twitter), which seemed to criticize Cardi B. In response, Cardi B shared a vague post on social media, urging Offset to “F–k off and sign the papers,” referring to their split.
Their divorce proceedings have been filled with accusations, including Cardi B’s claims that Offset and his mother, Latabia Woodward, allegedly “robbed” her. Moreover, Cardi B has alleged that Offset is using their children as a way to delay finalizing their divorce.
This latest legal request by Offset adds another layer of complexity to their divorce case, which continues to unfold publicly.
