OG Advance Booking: Pawan Kalyan Film Expected To Be His Biggest Opener
Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited gangster drama has already amassed over ₹75 crore in advance bookings, setting the stage for a historic opening. The film, directed by Sujeeth, is now on track to become one of the rare Indian films to cross the ₹100 crore mark on its first day.
September 24, 2025: Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s next mafia drama, They Call Him OG, is set to have the best start of his career. The movie, directed by Sujeeth, has gotten more attention than any other movie before it, which has led to record-breaking advance bookings that are breaking box office records even before the movie comes out in theaters.
Industry trackers and trade analysts say that the movie has already made an amazing ₹75 crore in advance bookings for its premiere and opening day shows around the world. The proceeds are divided into ₹45 crore from the Indian market and ₹30 crore from outside India, with North America doing very well. They Call Him OG has already been the biggest opening of Pawan Kalyan’s career, beating the international opening of his last film, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which generated ₹67 crore.
Experts in trade are already predicting that the picture will make more than ₹100 crore on its first day around the world, a milestone that only a few Indian films have been able to do. The movie is on course to beat the lifetime earnings of the actor’s highest-grossing movie, Bheemla Nayak (2022), which made ₹158 crore.
People have praised the movie, which was made by DVV Entertainment, for its sleek ads and high-energy action. The movie also features Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi as the underworld boss Omi Bhau in his first Telugu role. Pawan Kalyan plays Ojas Gambheera, a retired thug who comes back to life. The CBFC has given the movie a “A” rating, which means it is Pawan Kalyan’s first “A”-rated movie in 14 years.
Advance bookings suggest a big opening, but the movie has had some problems, such as delays in getting the footage to other markets that have led distributors to make public cautions. Even with these problems, the huge amount of buzz and excitement around the movie make it likely that it will be a huge hit at the box office. Paid premieres start on Wednesday night and the movie comes out in theaters on Thursday. Now everyone is waiting to see how much money it makes.
