OG Box Office Collection Day 5: Pawan Kalyan’s Film To Cross ₹150 Crore Mark Despite Monday Dip

The film registered its first single-digit haul of ₹7.50 crore on Day 5 (First Monday) after a massive opening weekend. Despite the drop, the Sujeeth directorial is just a few crores away from crossing the formidable ₹150 crore milestone.

September 30, 2025: They Call Him OG, a Pawan Kalyan action-thriller directed by Sujeeth, has continued to do well at the box office, with its total receipts quickly reaching the ₹150 crore mark. Even though it had its first single-digit daily total on its first Monday, the movie is still the biggest opener of 2025 so far.

Box Office Breakdown

The movie made ₹7.50 crore on its first Monday, bringing the total domestic collection to an amazing ₹147.70 crore during the opening weekend and the first day of the week.

The movie had a great opening, with very steady ticket sales over the first few days:

Day Estimated Collection Opening Day (with paid previews) ₹70.00 crore
₹18.45 crore on Friday
Saturday: ₹18.50 crore
₹18.50 crore on Sunday
Total (as of Monday): ₹147.70 crore

The ₹70 crore opening day was a huge success, far surpassing the ₹34 crore opening day of Pawan Kalyan’s last movie, Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

He Goes Faster Than the Competition OG has already made more money than a number of big movies that came out in 2025, such as Rajinikanth’s Coolie (₹65 crore), Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava (₹31 crore), and the first movie Saiyaara (₹21.5 crore).

What They Call Him OG

D. V. V. Danayya made the movie, which stars Pawan Kalyan as the main character, a retired criminal who comes back to Bombay in 1993 after being gone for ten years to face the rival crime lord Omi Bhau. Emraan Hashmi, a Bollywood actor, plays Omi Bhau in his first Telugu film. Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, and Prakash Raj are among the supporting actors.

In his review, film reviewer Saibal Chatterjee said that the movie relied on its star power, writing, “The Telugu superstar goes full force at powering an unpredictable screenplay that gives an abundance of superficial flair… But if you’re a fan of Pawan Kalyan, that gap is probably not going to take away from the star’s shine.
