‘One Battle After Another’ Teaser: DiCaprio, Anderson Deliver Intense Family Drama And Action

March 21, 2025: The highly anticipated Paul Thomas Anderson film, One Battle After Another, has officially revealed its title and a confirmed release date of September 26, 2025, after a slight delay from its original August 8 slot. Warner Bros. has released a gripping 21-second teaser, offering an intense glimpse into the film’s narrative, which blends family drama with high-stakes action.

In the teaser, Leonardo DiCaprio plays a calm and collected character, enjoying a quiet moment sipping a drink. However, his peace is soon shattered when his pregnant wife, portrayed by Teyana Taylor, fires an automatic rifle into the distance. The rapid gunfire continues in the background, signaling a tension-filled atmosphere. The next scene shows their newborn child in a crib, accompanied by a voice-over asking, “What are you gonna do about this baby?”

As the teaser unfolds, viewers are introduced to the couple’s now-grown daughter, played by Chase Infiniti, who becomes embroiled in the family tradition of gunfire. The young woman aggressively fires her own weapon, adding to the film’s tense atmosphere. The narrator’s voice echoes, “Just when you think you got a handle on things.”

The film will also debut in global Imax theatres and VistaVision format, giving audiences an immersive experience. Anderson, who is also writing the film, will produce One Battle After Another alongside Sara Murphy and Adam Somner, both of whom worked with him on Licorice Pizza.

The ensemble cast includes big names such as Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Alana Haim, and Benicio del Toro. Inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland, the movie promises to be a gripping mix of family dynamics and explosive action. Filming took place in California, with additional scenes shot in Texas.

The film is set to be released by Warner Bros., with Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy overseeing production, both of whom previously worked with Anderson during his Oscar-nominated Licorice Pizza.
