"One of my most complex characters": Bhumi Pednekar wraps up shoot of series 'Daldal'
Actor Bhumi Pednekar has officially completed filming her highly anticipated web series ‘Daldal’. On Sunday, Bhumi took to Instagram to reflect on the demanding year-long journey, describing her role as “one of my most complex characters”.
In her heartfelt post, she shared, “Hands down one of my most complex characters. Am nervous! We braved the Mumbai monsoons, shot in the toughest conditions, and yet our spirits could never be dampened. Kudos to us all.” She thanked her team, specifically Vikramix and director Amrit Raj Gupta, for their support and for believing in her to take on such a challenging role.
The series, produced by Abundantia Entertainment and directed by Amrit Raj Gupta, sees Bhumi playing the role of a cop named Rita, a fierce achiever breaking the glass ceiling in a male-dominated world. Bhumi expressed her excitement about portraying such a strong female character, stating, “Rita is a super achiever, a glass-ceiling breaker, and a rewriter of rules in a man’s world. I’m thrilled to headline a series like this on a global platform that will showcase the strength and resilience of Indian women.”
The Instagram story also featured a celebratory cake with ‘Daldal’ written on it, marking the completion of the shoot.
With ‘Daldal’ set to stream on Prime Video, Bhumi continues to push boundaries with her diverse and powerful roles. She is also gearing up for her upcoming project, ‘The Royals.’
