
O’Romeo Sees Valentine’s Day Boost At Box Office
Shahid Kapoor–Triptii Dimri starrer records strong jump on Day 2
February 15, 2026: O’Romeo, starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, released on February 13 and opened with around Rs 8.5 crore on Day 1. The romantic drama witnessed a significant surge on Valentine’s Day, collecting Rs 12.65 crore — nearly a 50 per cent jump, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. On Sunday, which coincided with Maha Shivratri, the film earned Rs 0.57 crore till evening, taking its total collection to Rs 21.72 crore so far. Final figures are expected later in the night.
Reports indicate a notable gap in the cast’s remuneration, with Shahid Kapoor reportedly charging Rs 45 crore, making him the highest-paid actor in the project. Triptii Dimri is said to have earned Rs 6 crore, while Avinash Tiwary reportedly received Rs 7 crore for playing the antagonist. Director Vishal Bhardwaj revealed that Vikrant Massey and Tamannaah Bhatia did not charge any fee for their roles, citing their bond with the filmmaker and the depth of their characters. Disha Patani and Nana Patekar reportedly earned Rs 2 crore and Rs 4 crore, respectively.
The film marks the fourth collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj after Kaminey, Haider and Rangoon. On Valentine’s Day, Shahid shared stills from the film on Instagram, extending wishes to fans and inviting audiences to watch O’Romeo in theatres.
