Orry and Friends Face FIR for Alleged Alcohol Consumption Near Vaishno Devi Base Camp

Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has found himself embroiled in controversy after an FIR was registered against him and seven others for allegedly consuming alcohol in a hotel located in Katra, near the revered Vaishno Devi pilgrimage site.

The incident reportedly took place on March 15, when the group allegedly violated local laws prohibiting alcohol consumption in the sacred town. Katra police have confirmed that strict action is being taken against those involved.

FIR Registered Against Orry and Seven Others

According to an official statement from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, an FIR (No. 72/25) was filed against Orry, along with Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli, and Anastasila Arzamaskina.

The statement emphasized that alcohol and non-vegetarian food are strictly prohibited at religious sites like Vaishno Devi, and violating these norms is considered a serious offense.

Strict Action Ordered by Authorities

SSP Reasi, Paramvir Singh, took swift action, directing officials to arrest the accused and set a precedent against such violations.

“There is no place for those who do not follow the law of the land and disrupt peace through illegal means like alcohol or drugs at religious sites,” the police statement read. A special team, led by SP Katra and supported by DySP Katra and SHO Katra, has been formed to track and hold the accused accountable.
