Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal celebrated their first Ganesh Chaturthi as a married couple with much joy and devotion.
Sonakshi took to Instagram to share a heartwarming video of the couple performing the traditional aarti and offering prayers to Lord Ganesha, marking their first festival together post-marriage. In her post, she beautifully expressed, “Love grows in respect, when a couple honors each other’s beliefs in true harmony… Our first Ganpati after shaadi.”
The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on June 23, 2023, surrounded by family and close friends at their Mumbai residence. Their wedding celebration was followed by a glamorous bash at Bastian, attended by Bollywood’s biggest stars, including Salman Khan, Vidya Balan with Siddharth Roy Kapur, and Saira Banu.
Ganesh Chaturthi, a significant 10-day festival that commenced on September 7, celebrates Lord Ganesha, revered as the god of new beginnings and the remover of obstacles. Across India, the festival was marked by vibrant processions, the installation of Ganesh idols, and lively celebrations filled with devotional chants, sweets, and beautiful decorations.
On the professional front, Sonakshi Sinha was last seen in the film Kakuda, alongside Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Kakuda is a horror-comedy set in the village of Ratodi in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district.
