The high-octane world of Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar franchise continues to blur the lines between reel and real life. In a touching tribute to his performance, Naureen Aslam, the widow of the late legendary Karachi SP Chaudhry Aslam Khan, has publicly praised Sanjay Dutt’s portrayal of her husband.

Speaking on a recent podcast, Naureen shared that seeing Dutt on screen was an emotional experience, noting that in one specific scene where the actor stands by a car and raises his eyes, it felt as if Aslam himself had been brought back to life.

While Naureen was quick to laud Dutt’s “perfect” persona and the character’s common use of police-style language, she offered a nuanced critique of the film’s narrative depth. She expressed that the production could have delved deeper into the complexities of her husband’s life—both the positive and negative—by consulting his family, colleagues, or journalists. Despite only seeing clips of the film, she noted that her husband always predicted his life would one day be a movie, a prophecy that has now manifested in a global blockbuster.

The timing of her comments coincides with the historic box-office run of the sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Released on March 19, 2026, the film has already shattered the records of its predecessor, crossing ₹900 crore at the domestic box office and over ₹1,400 crore worldwide. The sequel expands on the gritty spy-universe, following the infiltration of Karachi’s criminal syndicates while exploring the origin stories of its lead characters, played by Ranveer Singh and Arjun Rampal.

Fans are currently celebrating Hanuman Jayanti with the release of the “Rama Unit” teaser from Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, which Alia Bhatt recently described as “out of this world.” Meanwhile, in the sporting world, Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel recently admitted to a bowling miscalculation despite their victory over Lucknow Super Giants, a win anchored by a stellar performance from young Sameer Rizvi.
