February 9, 2025: Pankaj Tripathi, the renowned actor known for his roles in Mirzapur and Gangs of Wassepur, visited the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Saturday with his family.
Tripathi shared his profound spiritual experience, describing the atmosphere at the event as deeply spiritual. He expressed his happiness at being able to take a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Sarasvati rivers, which is considered sacred in Hinduism. “The vibes here are very spiritual. I am feeling very happy as I got the opportunity to take a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam,” Tripathi said. The actor was also seen clicking pictures and selfies with children, soaking in the cultural and spiritual significance of the occasion.
Earlier in the week, veteran actress Neena Gupta also visited the Maha Kumbh Mela and shared her awe and admiration for the grand spiritual gathering. Speaking to ANI, Gupta called her visit a “unique experience” and expressed that it had been on her wish list for years. “I have been wanting to come here for years… It was a unique experience… Finally, I took a dip today,” she said. She marveled at the scale of the gathering, saying, “The atmosphere here is crazy. I have never seen a bigger gathering in my life… I am impressed by the government for organizing such a huge event.”
The Maha Kumbh Mela, held in Prayagraj, is one of the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gatherings, drawing millions of devotees from across India and around the world for the sacred Kumbh Snan (holy bath). The Mahakumbh 2025, which began on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26, 2025. The event has already attracted millions of devotees and is expected to set new records for attendance and participation. The Maha Kumbh Mela is not just a religious gathering, but a celebration of faith, culture, and devotion, making it a deeply significant event for millions of people globally.
