Param Sundari FIRST Review: Sidharth Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor Starrer Is ‘Magical’ And ‘Fun’

Ahead of its release, the Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Param Sundari had its first special screening in Mumbai. Social media personality Simone Khambatta, who was in attendance, shared a glowing review, calling it the “best” rom-com.

August 28, 2025: The much-anticipated romantic comedy Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, is just a day away from its theatrical release. Ahead of its debut, a special screening was held in Mumbai on Wednesday night, which received a glowing first review from social media personality Simone Khambatta.

Taking to her Instagram stories after the screening, Khambatta heaped praise on the Tushar Jalota-directed film and the on-screen chemistry of the lead pair. “Chemistry 15/10! And I have to say, @Janhvikapoor has NEVER looked better,” she wrote. Calling the duo a “magical, fun and gorgeous on-screen couple,” she encouraged her followers to watch the film, describing it as “a happy, funny, adorable, feel good film.”

In a separate story, Simone further declared the film the “best” rom-com. “There is nothing not to love about Param Sundari. It is a super feel good movie and is highly entertaining,” she added, setting a positive tone for the film’s opening day.

Produced by Maddock Films, Param Sundari tells a charming story of a North Indian boy and a South Indian girl, exploring the sparks that fly when their two contrasting worlds collide. The film has been making headlines not just for its star cast but also for its journey to the big screen.

The film, which has been given a U/A 13+ certificate by the censor board, had to undergo a few minor edits. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the board requested the makers to mute and replace certain words in the dialogues and subtitles, including ‘bastard,’ which was swapped for ‘idiot,’ and ‘church’ and ‘bloody,’ which were muted. The film was passed without any visual cuts.

Originally slated for a July release, the movie was postponed to August 29, 2025, to avoid a box office clash with Son of Sardaar 2. With the positive word-of-mouth already beginning to spread, anticipation for Param Sundari is at an all-time high.
